Abstract
The present invention discloses a method for detecting odorous substances in a drinking water source. Addressing the shortcomings of existing solid-phase microextraction-gas chromatography-mass spectrometry techniques for detecting odorous substances in drinking water sources, the detection steps in this technology are optimized and designed, establishing a set of detection and analysis methods suitable for odorous substances in drinking water sources. This method has a linear detection range of 2.0 to 200.0 ng / L, with correlation coefficients reaching above 0.9990. The detection limits for the odorous substances geosmin (GSM), 2- methylisoborneol (2-MIB), and β-Ionone are 1.38 ng / L, 1.12 ng / L, and 0.78 ng / L, respectively. The spiked recovery rates range from 92.3% to 111%. The method offers advantages such as high accuracy, high sensitivity, simplicity, rapidity, and good reproducibility, making it suitable for widespread application.
