Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for restoring the topographic morphology of strata in areas where fossil fuels are mined. The restoration method comprises: conducting seismic surveys in the post-mining fossil fuel research area to acquire seismic data; processing the seismic data to derive processed seismic data and determine the distribution of the subsided strata; using stratigraphic trend analysis to track subsided strata along seismic profiles and thus obtain the planar distribution of the post-mining strata that constitute the target strata within the post-mining research area; performing a time-depth conversion for the target strata to determine the stratigraphic depth; and subtracting the depths of the upper and lower strata to obtain the residual strata thickness.Applying a slope correction to the residual layer thickness to determine the actual residual layer thickness; performing a compaction correction on the residual layers to determine the actual sediment thickness after fossil fuel extraction. The inclusion of evaluation factors for known mined strata increases the reuse rate of mining areas and oil fields after extraction.
