Abstract

This disclosure discloses a method, apparatus, electronic device, and storage medium for restoring basin boundaries. The method comprises: acquiring distribution information of current stratigraphic interfaces; obtaining an initial depositional state of strata by adopting a preset balanced cross-section method based on the distribution information of the current stratigraphic interfaces; constructing a correlation relationship between stratigraphic thickness at each point under the initial depositional state and the distribution information of the current stratigraphic interfaces; splicing a plurality of continuous depositional regions across faults based on the correlation relationship to obtain a target stratigraphic thickness-stratigraphic interface correlation model; and determining basin boundaries based on the target stratigraphic thickness-stratigraphic interface correlation model. This disclosure solves the technical problem that basin boundaries and scale are difficult to accurately determine in the absence of well data.
