Abstract

The present invention discloses a sheltering-blocking composite protective structure against frequent rockfalls along mountain highways, belonging to the technical field of geological disaster prevention and control. The structure inlcudes a shed-tunnel structure covering above a mountain highway, an energy-dissipating top plate arranged on the top of the shed-tunnel structure, and a lightweight backfill material filled between the energy-dissipating top plate and the shed-tunnel structure; a self-decelerating baffle is fixedly connected to a side of the energy-dissipating top plate away from the mountain slope. The present invention integrates sheltering isolation, graded energy dissipation and directional interception, can efficiently dissipate impact energy of high-frequency rockfalls, and eliminates risks of rockfalls intruding into the traffic area and escaping. The structure features high impact resistance and durability, convenient construction and operation maintenance, and is suitable for safety protection of sections with frequent rockfalls along mountain highways.
