Umbrella-type combined device for scour protection of gravity foundation of offshore wind turbine and construction method thereof

Abstract

The present invention discloses an umbrella-type combined device for scour protection of gravity foundation of offshore wind turbine and a construction method thereof. The aforesaid umbrella-type combined device for scour protection includes flexible protection sheets, support keels, counterweight anchor chains and a device reinforcing ring. Different from traditional passive scour-resistant schemes such as riprap and caisson, the present invention actively changes and guides the near-bed flow path around the wind turbine foundation by virtue of a unique bell-shaped structural design, which can effectively lift the core of the horseshoe vortex away from the seabed surface to keep it suspended, thereby greatly weakening its capacity of downward scouring and sediment entrainment, fundamentally reducing the local scour depth and prolonging the service life of the wind turbine foundation.
