SECURITY PAPER WITH WATERMARKS

Abstract

A dehydration screen (1) is described for the production of paper with at least one watermark. The dehydration screen (1) comprises a wire mesh arranged outside the watermark area at a first height (6) and within the watermark area. Means are arranged for generating the watermark. The screen is characterized in that the means are formed as discrete areas in the form of a plurality of lines and / or dots representing a halftone image of the watermark, and the discrete areas as hollows (2) in the wire mesh relative to the first height (6).
