Abstract

The invention relates to a protective cap (20) for a gas cylinder comprising: - a base (40), and - an annular shell (42) extending from the radial end of the base (40) and having a first height, - the annular shell (42) having at least one lateral opening (44-45), - the annular shell (42) having a honeycomb structure formed by two walls (50-51) connected by internal partitions (52) extending radially between the walls (50-51), - the annular shell (42) having a second height, greater than the first height, forming at least one pillar (48) at the level of a terminal end opening onto at least one lateral opening (44-45), - the internal partition (52) of the honeycomb structure closest to the pillar (48) extending over only a part of the first height (h1) of the annular shell (42).
