Abstract

The invention relates to a method and mold system for manufacturing I-shaped shear strips for wind turbine blades. The mold system comprises a lower strip mold portion having a concave shape with diverging lateral portions for manufacturing the first sides of the I-shaped foot flanges, and an upper mold portion having a concave shape with converging lateral portions for manufacturing the other sides of the I-shaped foot flanges.
