AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Existing foldable tables lack a mechanism to prevent unintentional tilting of the table top, which can lead to instability and potential damage or inconvenience during use.

Method used

A foldable table with a mechanism that includes a locking system to maintain the table top in a horizontal position, ensuring stability and preventing unintentional tilting.

Benefits of technology

The locking system effectively maintains the table top in a stable horizontal position, enhancing user safety and preventing damage by ensuring the table remains level during use.

Abstract

Table (1; 100) comprising: a tabletop (2; 102) associated with a profiled frame (3; 30), the latter being connected to a support structure (4; 40) by pivoting means (5) defining an axis of rotation (x) of the tabletop (2; 102) from a horizontal working position (a) to a vertical resting position (b), and vice versa. A locking tooth (7; 70) belonging to the support structure (4; 40) cooperates with a locking surface (8; 80) belonging to the profiled frame (3; 30) in order to fix the tabletop (2; 102) in its horizontal working position (a). A safety tooth (11; 110) belonging to the support structure (4; 40) cooperates with a safety surface (12; 120) belonging to the profiled frame (3; 30) when a nascent rotation of the top of the table (2; 102) around the pivoting means (5), from the horizontal working position (a), separates the hooking tooth (7; 70) from the hooking surface (8; 80).The hooking tooth (7; 70) and the safety tooth (11; 110) both belong to a single hooking body (20; 200), which is associated with the support structure (4; 40) by means of a rotation pivot (21; 210). The hooking tooth (7; 70) is hooked to the corresponding hooking surface (8; 80) and the safety tooth (11; 110) is separated and retracted above the safety surface (12; 120) when the tabletop (2; 102) is placed in its horizontal working position (a).

Description

and removed above the safety surface (12; 120) when the top of the table 102 ) is arranged in its horizontal working position (A).
