Abstract

The invention relates to a wind turbine blade (10) comprising a leading edge erosion protection shield (64) (18, 56). The erosion protection (64) comprises an inner layer made of a first thermoplastic material (65), the inner layer being an integral part of the shell body of the wind turbine blade (10). The erosion protection (64) further comprises an outer layer made of a second thermoplastic material (66) attached to the inner layer.
