Abstract

The invention relates to a method for controlling the exhaust of a thermal engine assembly (1) of a motor vehicle, comprising an exhaust system housing a turbine (2) of a turbocharger. The exhaust has a first turbine flow originating from the first passage through the turbine (2), which houses a wheel for partially recovering energy contained in the exhaust gases, and a second discharge flow originating from the second passage, which rejoins the first flow downstream of the wheel, bypassing it. A forced pressure increase is applied to the second flow during the common opening time to return at least a portion of the second flow to said at least one cylinder under full load conditions at an engine speed below 3000 rpm or under partial engine load conditions with an average effective pressure of less than 106 pascals.
