OPTIMIZED INJECTABLE VETERINARY FORMULATION

Abstract

A unique injectable veterinary formulation comprises buparvaquone, imidocarb, or salts thereof, and is substantially water-free. The formulation may include a stabilizing agent, which in one case is propylene glycol. The formulation is used for the treatment or prophylaxis of Theileria parasites and / or Anaplasma, Babesia, and / or Ehrlichia parasites. The formulation may be administered at a dose of approximately 1 ml per 20 kg of body weight in cattle, sheep, goats, and horses, or approximately 1 ml per 15 kg of body weight in dogs.
