Authentic zellige tile cutting machine

Abstract

The present invention relates to a mechanical system for cutting Moroccan zellige tiles. The proposed system comprises four linear actuators and one rotary actuator, a pattern piece (optional) and a breaking tool, as well as an open support structure facilitating the integration of robotic systems for material input and output. The pieces are locked onto the cutting platform at a height that determines the distance of the cutting line from the center, then the cutting head is aligned with the cutting line using the rotary actuator. Next, the cutting head moves linearly to the starting point of the cut. After the various cutting operations, the selected pattern is unlocked and the cycle continues.
