Abstract
The invention relates to medicine, in particular to rheumatology and ophthalmology and can be used for early diagnosis of the activity of the non-infectious ocular inflammatory process in juvenile idiopathic arthritis by determining inflammatory biomarkers in the lacrimal fluid in children, for establishing an effective treatment depending on the activity of the ocular inflammatory process.Summary of the invention consists in collecting lacrimal fluid from both eyes using Schirmer strips, then using the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, the concentration of the ocular inflammatory biomarker chemokine IL-8 is determined, if the value is determined to be 60 pg / mL, an inactive form of the ocular inflammatory process is diagnosed, if the value is determined to be 61…125 pg / mL, a mild activity is diagnosed, if the value is determined to be 126...250 pg / mL, a moderate activity is diagnosed, and if the value is determined to be > 250 pg / mL, high activity of the non-infectious ocular inflammatory process in juvenile idiopathic arthritis in children is diagnosed.
