This invention relates to a system and method for switching between live gambling games and video streaming. Various specific embodiments can receive point selections to bet an initial amount of points in the first round of a blackjack gambling event. A graphical user interface provides a virtual play area and multiple sub-game icons associated with the blackjack gambling event. A decision cycle time can be set for the duration of the gambling event. This decision cycle time defines a time window for making gambling decisions during a round of the blackjack gambling event. In some examples, a second decision cycle time can be set to define a time window for playing between rounds of the blackjack gambling event.
