SIMULATOR FOR OPHTHALMOLOGICAL EXAM TRAINING

Abstract

The present invention relates to a simulator for training in ophthalmic examinations capable of providing a realistic experience of how to perform an eye and ocular motility examination, as well as providing a wide variety of ocular pathologies, which comprises: a body structure simulating the upper part of a human body, comprising a head portion and a neck portion, wherein the head portion comprises at least two eye sockets; two eyeballs disposed in the eye sockets of the head portion; a reflection system disposed inside the body structure configured to create a holographic illusion of the fundus observable through the two eyeballs; an illumination system disposed inside the body structure and configured to emit light to the two eyeballs;and a motility system arranged within the body structure and configured to allow rotational movement of the two eyeballs; wherein the reflection, lighting, and motility systems are managed by means of an electronic control system arranged within the body structure.
