Abstract
The present invention proposes a novel and surprising sesquiterpene compound with larvicidal activity obtained from the Artemisia cina plant, called cinic acid, which has the structure shown in Figure 1, as well as novel compositions comprising it and its use to treat, prevent or reduce infections on free-living stages (infective larva, L3) of H. contortus causing haemonchosis in grazing animals.
