COMPOSTABLE MIXTURE FOR MANUFACTURING BIODEGRADABLE ARTICLES AND ITS PREPARATION PROCESS

Abstract

A compostable mixture for manufacturing biodegradable articles, comprising: at least one compostable dispersing substance; and at least one type of vegetable fiber dispersed in the compostable dispersing substance. A process for preparing the compostable mixture of the present invention, comprising: providing vegetable fiber fragments; dehydrating the vegetable fiber to 0.2% moisture; providing a compostable dispersing substance; and dehydrating it to less than 0.15% moisture; mixing the dehydrated vegetable fiber with the compostable dispersing substance in a proportion of 30.00 to 30.34% vegetable fiber and 69.66 to 70.00% compostable dispersing substance, using a spindle of a gravimetric dosing machine at 175 to 200 rpm; extruding the above mixture at a temperature of 185 to 220°C in an extruder and pelletizer; and recovering the pelleted product. Biodegradable article, made with the compostable mixture proposed by the present invention.
