Abstract
The present invention relates to a non-invasive molecular method for the early diagnosis of pregnancy in sheep. This method offers efficient and effective determination of pregnancy in the days following artificial insemination or natural mating, providing more accurate results compared to any other method previously available on the market for hair sheep. It consists of the following steps: pretreatment of the final reaction mix, initial denaturation of the pretreated final reaction mix, cDNA amplification by polymerase chain reaction, final extension of the total polymerase chain reaction, and measurement of the fluorescence of the total polymerase chain reaction by fluorometry.Where, in addition, the 3' - 5' and 5' - 3' oligonucleotides are used for the molecular identification of the expression in the Interfon Regulator Factor 1 (IRF-1) gene of peripheral blood leukocytes by real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction.
