Abstract

The present invention relates to a surgical instrument handle for laparoscopy, particularly an ergonomic needle holder for laparoscopic instruments, characterized in that it comprises (a) a handle (20), comprising an elongated body; (b) a plunger (50) attached to the elongated body (20) and extending radially from the elongated body; (c) a sliding support (40), comprising a vertical tubular element (43) attached perpendicularly to a perpendicular bar (45);(d) a conical spring (30), arranged transversely to the handle (20) and the perpendicular bar (45), arranged with its larger diameter seated in the handle (20), and its smaller diameter seated in the sliding support (40), arranged around the vertical tubular element (43) and the plunger (50), wherein the vertical tubular element (43) houses the plunger (50) inside, and said plunger (50) has at its end a needle clamping mechanism which is associated with both the vertical tubular element (43) and the plunger (50) and is suitable to receive, in the open position, a needle or thread which is pressed by the plunger (50) and the vertical tubular element (43) when the pressure on the conical spring (30) is released in the closed position.
