SAFETY VALVE FOR PRESSURE CONTAINERS

Abstract

The present invention describes a safety valve for pressure vessels, which includes a firestop valve that blocks the outlet of flammable liquid or gas to eliminate the vessel's exposure to fire and thus prevent explosion. It also incorporates an internal relief valve that shuts off the supply in the event of a rupture of the valve of any device connected to the vessel that regulates or controls the outlet of the flammable liquid or gas, and releases pressure within the vessel when it exceeds operating conditions. The present invention also includes a reset valve that restores the valves' functions after they have been activated by a malfunction or failure in the devices connected to the vessel, allowing them to resume normal operation.
