EMERGENCY SEAT RECLINING SYSTEM AND METHOD

Abstract

The present invention relates to an emergency reclining system for a vehicle seat, designed to improve occupant safety in the event of a collision. The system includes a seat with an adjustable backrest, a seat actuator, and a windshield sensor. The windshield sensor continuously monitors the surroundings and detects external objects located above a safe position and at a critical distance. Upon detecting a hazard, the sensor sends an actuation signal to the vehicle's processing unit, which in turn activates the actuator to adjust the seat backrest from a reclined position to a safe position.
