Abstract
The present invention introduces a novel flow distribution channel configuration that integrates traditional fuel cell geometry with structural features found in frogs. This unique approach provides an innovative and novel solution to the various performance and efficiency challenges faced by proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs). By incorporating elements inspired by natural designs along with cutting-edge technology, this flow channel system is designed to improve the uniform distribution of reactants and products within fuel cells. This fusion enables a high level of consistency in the distribution and concentration of different species on the active surface. At the same time, its aim is to minimize pressure losses and mitigate voltage drops, thereby significantly improving the overall functionality and efficiency of fuel cell technology.
