Abstract

This patent concerns the design of a photosynthetic microbial fuel cell that uses cyanobacteria as biocathodes, increasing energy efficiency and reducing greenhouse gas emissions from the cathode chamber. It also includes an electronic system that adjusts the system's resistance to select the parameter that increases the system's power output.
