Abstract

The present invention relates to a double-plate device designed to house and protect flat substrates during handling, transport or observation, wherein the device comprises a substantially flat bottom plate provided with receiving cavities intended to receive substrates of various geometries and a top plate that acts as a closing cover, both plates being configured to be arranged in parallel position and held together by through-fastening elements that generate a controlled separation between them forming an interior volume intended for the encapsulation of the substrates, wherein the bottom plate comprises through-holes preferably distributed in areas close to the corners thereof, as well as handles integrated therein ends of its longitudinal side while the top plate incorporates through-holes alignable with those of the bottom plate and includes integrated handles arranged in correspondence with the bottom plate in order to facilitate assembly and manual manipulation of the assembly, the device being able to be manufactured in rigid or semi-rigid preferably transparent materials such as technical polymers or thin glass allowing direct observation of the encapsulated content without the need for disassembly and constituting a structural solution suitable for demonstrative or laboratory academy activities in which fragile samples are required to be transported and displayed in a stable and protected manner.
