DOUBLE-SIDED DRAINAGE LINING

Abstract

A landfill cover for covering a landfill has a gas vent geotextile facing the landfill. A double-sided drainage liner has a flexible, fluid-impermeable barrier sheet with a lower surface facing the gas vent geotextile and an upper surface opposite the lower surface. The lower truncated projections extend from the lower surface of the barrier sheet and have blunt projection ends that rest in non-penetrating contact with the gas vent geotextile, so that the barrier layer is separated from the gas vent geotextile and gas vent channels are defined between the lower truncated projections. The upper truncated projections extend from the upper surface of the barrier sheet and have blunt projection ends.A fluid-permeable layer rests in non-penetrating contact on the blunt projection ends of the upper truncated projections of the double-sided drainage lining, so that fluid drainage passages are defined between the upper truncated projections.
