VERIFICATION OF PALLET LABELS.

Abstract

The examples provide a system for enhanced pallet label verification using computer vision and optical character recognition for faster and more efficient resolution of pallet label exceptions. The system includes a pallet manager component that captures pallet images from one or more image capture devices. Computer vision and machine learning are used to identify pallet labels on pallets that are missing or damaged, rendering the labels at least partially unreadable. An initial pallet label exception is created. Exceptions are assigned scores indicating a degree of confidence that the exceptions are accurate and require attention to resolve the issues associated with each label. Exceptions with high confidence scores are enhanced with customized label verification instructions and real-time pallet images.Enhanced pallet tag exceptions help users locate pallets and resolve issues associated with pallet tags more quickly and accurately.
