Abstract

A bending machine for a rod-shaped workpiece (6) made of a solid or tubular material is described, comprising: a bending head (4) for forming bends in the workpiece (6), each of which is located in a bending plane; a workpiece guide (10) disposed upstream of the bending head (4), by means of which the workpiece (6) is fed along a feed shaft towards the bending head (4) to position a section, to be bent, in the bending head (4), and which supports the workpiece (6) during a bending operation of the bending head (4); and a clamp (8) disposed on the feed shaft upstream of the workpiece guide (10), which holds the workpiece (6) and feeds it along the feed shaft.wherein the workpiece guide (10) and clamp (8) are mounted on a support arm (12) that is coupled to the base frame (20) so that it can rotate around the feed axis, such that the rotation of the support arm (12) simultaneously rotates the clamp (8) and the workpiece guide (10) around the feed axis to adjust the bending plane.
