Abstract

A powder dispensing apparatus is described comprising an elongated, wedge-shaped hopper that includes one or more fluidized plates; the powder dispensing apparatus can be positioned over a pair of calender rolls to distribute a powder, such as a dry electrode material, onto the calender rolls; said fluidized, wedge-shaped hopper advantageously permits a precise and / or controlled distribution rate of the powder along, or practically along, a calender roll.
