Abstract

A package comprising a packaging container and a multi-layer closure portion, wherein the closure portion comprises at least one substrate layer and an adhesive layer, wherein the substrate layer consists of a first polyolefin-based plastic having a first melting temperature, the adhesive layer consists of a second polyolefin-based elastomer or plastomer having a second melting temperature lower than the first melting temperature, the packaging container consists of a third polyolefin-based plastic having a third melting temperature higher than the second melting temperature, and a closure collar comprising an essentially flat closure tape. The adhesive layer of the closure portion is bonded to the closure collar of the packaging container, and the closure portion comprises an elastic clamping structure physically close to the closure tape.
