SPECTROSCOPIC SENSOR WITH INTEGRATED COLLOIDAL MICROFILM FOR TURBID FLUIDS ANALYSIS

Abstract

The spectroscopic sensor with an integrated colloidal microfilm for turbid fluid analysis allows for the analysis of various fluid types, such as blood plasma, using an internal reflection configuration. The present invention lies in its ability to obtain, through a single measurement, two physical parameters: the real and imaginary parts of the refractive index, which usually require different methods for inference. The spectroscopic sensor allows for the identification of significant variations in the refractive index as a function of the turbid fluid's composition. This demonstrates the usefulness of this technique for obtaining the optical characteristics of the sample.
