Abstract

A tray 10 according to the invention has a holding zone 100 with openings 101 which are adapted to the shape of the pipette tips to be inserted in order to keep them in a specific position. The openings 101 (cylindrical) may be delimited, for example, by sockets 102. Inner projections 1020, e.g. ribs, extend perpendicularly from a lower end of the sockets 102 and protrude substantially in the direction of the central axis of an inserted pipette tip 2. The inner projections 1020 bear against and fix the outer wall of the pipette tip 2 in a predetermined position. (Figure 10) (see Figure 10).
