BURIED PIPE COMPOSTER

Abstract

The present invention describes a buried tube composter, designed as a manually operated device that does not require electromechanical components. This device is designed for the accelerated aerobic composting of domestic, rural, or community organic waste (such as fruits, vegetables, eggshells, etc.), resulting in a reduction of the waste's mass and volume, and is primarily intended for use in residential settings. Its passive microbial oxygenation mechanism prevents fermentation and, consequently, the generation of unpleasant odors and leachate. The user places the waste into a buried tube, which is equipped with a macerator and a double handle. These elements allow the user to manually shred the waste, thereby reducing its volume and increasing the oxygenation of its contents.Additionally, a mosquito net installed on the lid prevents the proliferation of pests and insects. The result is a stable organic fertilizer, obtained in a cycle of 8 to 9 weeks.
