Abstract

An intelligent cementitious matrix incorporating nanotechnology and biotechnology is presented. It acts as a physical data bus via volumetric data transmission and a self-healing system. It utilizes a carbon network to transmit signals and encapsulated bacteria to seal cracks, autonomously restoring structural and electrical integrity. It is applicable to critical infrastructure, eliminating the need for external wiring and sensors with a high failure rate.
