Abstract
A modular dispenser includes a cartridge configured to hold a plurality of tablets. A dispensing base is configured to receive the cartridge by means of a removable mechanism. The dispensing base includes a funnel with a funnel inlet near the cartridge opening and a funnel outlet separate from the funnel inlet. A drawer is configured to receive at least one tablet from the funnel outlet into a compartment and is configured to slide into the dispensing base. A dosing flap can be movably positioned between the funnel outlet and the drawer compartment. The dosing flap is pivotally attached to at least one of the funnel and the dispensing base and can be configured to a) at least partially block and b) completely block the funnel outlet when the drawer slides out from the dispensing base.
