The present invention provides a combination of a folding chair with a folding side table and a folding side table for use with said folding chair. As used herein, “un”, “una”, “el” and “la” refer to both the singular and the plural unless the context indicates otherwise. As used herein, the term “approximately” refers to an average value, such as, for example, a parameter, quantity, time duration, among others, and is intended to include variations of + / -15% or less, preferably variations of + / -10% or less, more preferably variations of +1-5% or less, even more preferably variations of + / -1% or less, and still more preferably variations of + / -0.1% or less from and away from the particularly cited value, insofar as the variations are suitable for implementation in the invention described herein. As used herein, spatially relative terms, such as “below,” “under,” “lower,” “above,” “on top of,” “front,” “rear,” “side,” “left,” “right,” and “back,” among others, are used to facilitate the description of an element or the relationship of a feature to another element or feature. It is also understood that the terms “front,” “back,” “left,” and “right” are not intended to be limiting or interchangeable where relevant. As used herein, the terms “collapsible chair” and “folding chair” may be used synonymously or interchangeably, and together may refer to a chair that can be quickly and easily collapsed and / or folded and stored in a more compact configuration, including, but not limited to, a quad chair, a director's chair, a garden chair, a beach chair, and a camping chair. Therefore, any reference herein to a collapsible chair shall also include and comprise folding chairs, and any reference herein to a folding chair shall also include and comprise collapsible chairs. In a preferred embodiment, the folding chair is as described and disclosed in U.S. Patents 8,864,223 and / or 8,186,755, the subject matter of which is incorporated herein in its entirety for the purpose of disclosing and understanding the construction of the preferred “quad” or “director’s” chair. Although believed to be understood in the prior art, the following is provided for the convenience of the reader and to ensure a sufficient and complete description of the present invention. Specifically, the preferred folding “director’s” or “quad” chair, for the ease of understanding the present invention, includes a frame defining a chair structure, generally indicated in Figure 12. The structure is selectively movable between a folded configuration (Figure 8) and a use configuration (Figures 1, 4, 5, and 6). For example, the structure can be folded into the folded configuration, thereby considerably reducing the width of the structure and allowing the chair 12 to be stored in, for example, a car trunk or a closet. Alternatively, the structure can be extended from the folded configuration to form the use configuration, whereby the width of the structure is considerably increased and a user can sit in the chair 12. The structure can be manufactured from plastic, metal (e.g., steel, aluminum, etc.), or other materials., steel, aluminum) or any suitable material that allows the chair to function as described herein. The frame comprises a plurality of segments that define a base portion and a top portion. A fabric cover for the frame is attached to the frame to define a seat portion, a back portion, and two armrests of chair 12. More specifically, one portion of the fabric cover is attached to the base portion of the frame to define the seat portion, and another portion is attached to the top portion of the frame to define the back portion. Consequently, during use, the user can sit on the seat portion and position their back against the back portion. In a preferred embodiment, the seat portion and the back portion of the fabric cover are formed as a single piece. However, it should be understood that the seat portion and the back portion may be formed as separate pieces. The quad / director's chair construction includes a pair of armrests, one extending outward from the right side of the backrest portion and the other extending outward from the left side (as shown in Figure 1). The armrests are separated by a defined distance, such as approximately one width of the seat portion. Consequently, when the user is seated in the seat portion, each arm can be positioned on one of the armrests. The armrests can be constructed from the fabric cover of the frame, or they can be manufactured separately from the fabric cover and / or from other suitable materials. Once again, the chairs of the above construction can be found in U.S. Patents Numbers 8,864,223 and / or 8,186,755, the subject matter of which is incorporated herein by reference in its entirety. Furthermore, referring in detail to the figures, and Figures 1 and 4, for example, a folding chair 12 may include a plurality of legs 14, 16, 18, 20, where the plurality of legs 14, 16, 18, 20 may be defined as front, rear, left, and right legs. In some embodiments, the plurality of legs includes a front pair of crossed legs 14, a rear pair of crossed legs 16, a right pair of crossed legs 18, and a left pair of crossed legs 20. The crossed legs may be rotatably coupled to each other, for example, approximately at the midpoint of the crossed legs. The legs may be rotatably coupled to each other using a fastener 25 (e.g., a screw / nut combination, a rivet, a dowel, etc.) and / or support members. In each case, the swivel fasteners or support members can allow the legs to cross on different axes, and, consequently, allow the folding chair to fold in multiple directions. The cross legs can be coupled to each other at their upper and lower ends using one or more members. The cross legs can be rotatably coupled to a base plate member; for example, base plate member 22A can be rotatably coupled to cross legs 14 and cross legs 18, base plate member 22B can be rotatably coupled to legs 14 and cross legs 20, base plate member 22C can be rotatably coupled to cross legs 20 and cross legs 16, and base plate member 22D can be rotatably coupled to cross legs 16 and cross legs 18.Cross legs can be rotatably coupled to an upper member, for example, upper member 24A can be rotatably coupled to cross legs 14 and cross legs 18, upper member 24B can be rotatably coupled to legs 14 and cross legs 20, upper member 24C can be rotatably coupled to cross legs 20 and cross legs 16, and upper member 24D can be rotatably coupled to cross legs 16 and cross legs 18. A pair of vertical legs 28, 30 can be slidably and rotatably coupled to at least one base plate member and one upper member. The vertical leg 28 can be coupled to the base plate member 22C and the upper member 24C, which are coupled to the cross legs 20 and the cross legs 16. The vertical leg 30 can be coupled to the base plate member 22D and the upper member 24D, which are coupled to the cross legs 16 and the cross legs 18.In one embodiment, an upper portion of the plurality of crossed legs can be configured to move vertically relative to the vertical leg stop 28, 30 during folding and unfolding of the folding chair 12. In one embodiment, a seat 32 and a backrest 34 are attached to the chair frame such that the seat 32 and backrest 34 form a chair when the folding chair 12 is in the unfolded position. The seat 32 and backrest 34 may be manufactured from a single piece of material or from separate pieces of material. The folding chair 12 may further include armrests 36, 38, which may be supported in a position (e.g., a movable position) along the upright legs 28, 30 and in a position along the front cross legs 14, the right cross legs 18, and / or the left cross legs 20. One or more armrests 36, 38 may include a pouch 37, which may be configured to hold a beverage or other item. According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, a combination of a folding chair and a folding side table is provided and generally indicated in 10, which comprises the folding chair 12 and a folding side table, generally indicated in 50, as exemplified in Figure 1, among other figures. The folding side table 50 is preferably detachably attached to one or more crossed legs of the chair 12, as disclosed below and illustrated in the figures. For example, the folding side table 50 is detachably attached to the pair of crossed legs, e.g., the crossed legs 20. However, it should be appreciated that the folding side table 50 can be attached to one or more other pairs of crossed legs without departing from the spirit / scope of this disclosure. As illustrated in Figures 5, 6, the folding side table 50 may include a first arm 52 and a second arm 54, wherein each arm has a corresponding first end 55A and second end 55B, wherein the first end 55A of each arm includes a dependent hand 60, 62 for attachment to the crossed legs, e.g., the legs 20. Preferably, each hand is integrally formed with its corresponding arms 52, 54. A first cross-member assembly, usually denoted as 56, and a second cross-member assembly, usually denoted as 58, can be positioned with respect to the first and second arms 52, 54. For example, the first and second cross-member assemblies 56, 58 are separated from each other and aligned perpendicular to the first and second arms 52, 54, so that the cross-member assemblies are coupled to both the first and second arms 52, 54, as illustrated in Figures 5, 6. The first cross-member assembly 56 can be mounted with respect to each first end 55A and can be coupled to the first and second arms 52, 54 with each other. Similarly, the second cross-member assembly 58 can be mounted with respect to the second end 55B and can also be coupled to the first and second arms 52, 54 with each other. The first and second cross members 56, 58 can be positioned opposite each other and, in combination with the first and second arms, can define a quadrilateral in an unfolded configuration. In one exemplary embodiment, the first and second cross member assemblies can be configured for a rotary motion. The first and second cross member assemblies can be rotatably moved between an open position, such that the first and second arms 52, 54 are at a first spaced distance from each other (e.g., Figures 5, 6), and a folded position, such that the first and second arms 52, 54 are at a second distance from each other, for example, when the chair is folded (e.g., see Figure 7 showing the chair frame in a folded position, and Figure 8 showing the folding table in a folded and / or unfolding position). In the open position, the folding side table 50 can be such that the first and second arms 52, 54 are as far apart as possible and the first and second cross members are parallel to each other. In the folded position, the folding side table 50 can be such that the first and second arms 52, 54 are closer together than in the open position and the first and second cross member assemblies are not parallel (e.g., Figure 8). The first and second cross member assemblies can be moved around corresponding pivot points 57A, 59A (e.g., Figure 8) and can rotate between approximately 0° and approximately 180°. The first and second cross member assemblies can include stop features 57B, 59B so that the cross members do not rotate beyond the desired range (e.g., approximately 0° and approximately 180°). More specifically, the first cross-member assembly 56 is preferably constructed identically to the second cross-member assembly 58. Therefore, reference to one assembly should be understood as including a disclosure of the other. Each assembly 56, 58, preferably and respectively, comprises the first connecting arms 56A, 58A and the second connecting arms 56B, 58B. In a preferred construction, one end of connecting arm 56A is coupled to a first end of arm 52 by means of a screw, rivet, or other conventional coupling means. Similarly, one end of connecting arm 56B is coupled to a first end of arm 54 by means of a screw, rivet, or other conventional coupling means. The other ends of connecting arms 56A and 56B are hinged together by means of a rivet, screw, or other conventional coupling means, as indicated in 57A.The stop features, generally indicated in 57B, preferably comprise a combination of tab and groove to prevent the corresponding pairs of connecting arms from over-rotating when the arms 52, 54 are fully extended away from each other by means of the ability to be received in the groove and the inability resulting from the connected ends of the connecting arm 56A, 56B being rotated beyond 180 degrees. References to “the end” or “end” in this disclosure are not intended to be taken literally as meaning the “tip” of any structure / member / arm or support. Instead, as illustrated in the figures, for example, the corresponding tabs, slots, and mating means are not provided precisely at the “end” of the corresponding arms or connecting arms or supports, but rather toward and / or near the corresponding ends, as shown in the figures. A person skilled in the art should understand and be aware of the foregoing. As it should be understood, the side table 50 can be closed / folded by applying pressure, for example, on the corresponding pair of connecting arms so that the angle of the corresponding pairs of arms rotates from their 180-degree alignment (e.g., Figures 5, 6) to that (e.g.,) illustrated in Figure 8. Then, (e.g.,) the continuous impulse of arms 52, 54 against each other will cause the table 50 to fold completely as will be understood by Figure 8. In this respect, the table 50 is in its folded condition for easy storage and / or transport. To open table 50 from its folded condition, as it should now be understood, table 50 can be opened / expanded by, for example, pulling the corresponding arms 52, 54 away from each other until the corresponding pairs of connecting arms rotate to their corresponding 180-degree alignment, and the corresponding tabs are received in the corresponding slots so as to ensure a fully expanded, robust, and locked position for table 50. The folding side table 50 may include a flexible material (e.g., fabric, textile, mesh, canvas, plastic, etc.) 64 mounted with respect to the first and second arms 52, 54 and the first and second cross members 56, 58 in a table-like configuration. The flexible material 64 is preferably secured to the first and second arms 52, 54 and coupled directly and indirectly to the first and second cross members 56, 58 in a table-like configuration. The flexible material 64 may be configured to move between an open position, whereby the flexible material opens in a table-like manner (see Figures 5, 6), and a folded position, whereby the flexible material folds as understood by those skilled in the art (Figure 8). The folding side table 50 may further include one or more accessories (e.g., bags, drink holders) 66 (see Figure 1).The accessories 66 can be configured to hold one or more drinks and / or one or more items. The table material 64 can also be packed / folded into a separate bag for storage and / or transport. The aforementioned bag can also be attached to the bottom of the material to store and protect any items stored within it (e.g., cell phone, etc.) from the elements (rain, sun, and / or any other natural or man-made elements (e.g., a spilled drink, etc.)) when the table 50 is attached to the chair 12. The folding side table 50 is preferably connected to one or more members positioned on the cross legs 20. The members 40, 42 can be permanently or semi-permanently attached to the cross legs 20, for example, with fasteners, rivets, nuts / bolts, screws, adhesives, welding, or other fastening options. The members 40, 42 can be positioned on the same side of the cross legs or on opposite sides, as shown in the figures. The members 40, 42 can be positioned at a distance from each other that is approximately the distance between the two dependent hands 60, 62. The members 40, 42 themselves can have corresponding grooves 41, 43 (e.g., Figures 4A, 5) and / or the mounting of the first corresponding member 40 on the leg 20 can form the groove 41A between the first member 40 and the first leg (e.g.,, Figure 4B) and the similar member 42 itself may comprise the slot 43 and / or the mounting of member 42 on the other leg 20 may form a slot 43A between the second member 42 and the second leg (identically as shown in Fig. 4B). Slots 41, 43 (and / or 41A, 43A) in the members or so formed are configured to receive at least a portion (and / or all) of the dependent hand(s) 60, 62 of the folding side table 50. For example, the hands 60, 62 of the folding side table 50 can be inserted at least partially or completely into slot 41, 43 (and / or 41A, 43A) of brackets 40, 42 (and / or 40A, 42A, i.e., slots so formed) so that the folding side table 50 extends outward from the folding chair 12. During installation, the folding side table 50, including the handles 60, 62, can be positioned above the brackets 40, 42 and aligned with the slot opening 41, 43, so that when the folding side table 50 is moved in the direction of the base plate members 22A-D, the dependent handles are inserted into the corresponding slots. During disassembly of the folding side table 50 from the folding chair 12, the opposite occurs, so that the folding side table 50 is moved in the direction of the upper members 22A-24D and is detached from the bracket 40, 42. The folding side table 50 can be positioned at a predetermined height along the crossed legs of the folding chair 12, allowing it to support items without the user being seated in the chair. For example, the folding side table 50 can be positioned near the pivot point of the crossed legs, either above or below the pivot point. In one experiment, approximately 3.34 kg of items were supported by the folding side table 50 without the user being seated in chair 12. In another experiment, approximately 4 kg of items were supported by the folding side table 50 without the user being seated in chair 12. If desired, aesthetically pleasing and / or different patterns can be screen printed, embroidered, printed and / or otherwise provided on the fabric cover 64 to change the appearance of the table. MA / a / ZUZZ / UI Z l ou To avoid any doubt, it should also be understood that the first and second members 40, 42 (and / or 40A, 4B) can be associated with the folding table, such that a folding side table assembly is provided for use with a chair having at least a first leg and a second leg, wherein the folding side table assembly comprises at least a first member coupled to the first leg and a second member coupled to the second leg, wherein the first member includes a groove and / or the mounting of the first member to the first leg forms a groove between the first member and the first leg and wherein the second member includes a groove and / or the mounting of the second member to the second leg forms a groove between the second member and the second leg;a first arm and a second arm, a first hand dependent on the first arm and which is insertable and detachable to the slot associated with the first member, and a second hand dependent on the second arm and which is insertable and detachable to the slot associated with the second member; a first cross-member assembly coupled between the first and second arms and a second cross-member assembly coupled between the first and second arms; and a flexible cover coupled to the first and second arms. Although this disclosure has been described with reference to exemplary implementations, it is not limited to such exemplary implementations. Instead, various modifications, alterations, and / or alternative implementations may be adopted without deviating from the spirit or scope of this disclosure.
