Abstract

The present invention relates to a device (10) for centering fibers on a line (1), comprising at least one stripping device for stripping the line (1) in a first zone (B1), a clamping device (12) that is attached to hold a fiber (2) to fix the line (1) in the first stripped zone (B1), and a processing device (14) that moves along an outer circumference (13) of the clamping device (12) along an axial direction (X) of the line (1), wherein the processing device (14) is configured with portions of the housing (4) of the line (1) that protrude radially beyond the outer circumference (13) of the clamping device (12) into a second zone (B2) of the line (1) to be removed. The invention further relates to a method for centering fibers on a line (1).
