Abstract

The present invention relates to mito-directed conjugated estrogenic compounds and more specifically to novel mito-directed estrogenic derivatives of general formula (I), which specifically activate mitochondrial estrogen receptors (mtERs), and overcome the mitoprotective effects caused by the administration of conventional estrogenic compounds, without causing adverse effects on cells.
