MODULAR MALTERY INSTALLATION

Abstract

This disclosure relates to a malting facility for germination and kiln drying of grain, a heating unit in which heating equipment can be installed, and at least one expandable germination-kiln drying unit. The germination-kiln drying unit has a starter module with an air duct and a germination fan, wherein the starter module is joined to a connecting duct and a return duct to the heating unit, at least one intermediate module, and one final module. The starter module is joined to the intermediate module, and the intermediate module is joined to the final module, forming a process space (6) for germination and kiln drying of grain.The malting facility is configured to selectively direct air through the germination fan from outside the starter module to the process space during the grain germination process and / or to circulate air from the process space through the air channel to the process space and to direct warm air through the starter module to the process space through the grain kiln drying process through the heating equipment in the heating unit through the bonding channel.
