Abstract
The resin-cured electrical connector is a swivel wire connector with integrated resin injection. The resin cures around the enclosed conductors. The resulting connection is permanent, maintaining connectivity while excluding water. At the tip of the body, a sliding cartridge holds a one- or multi-part resin within one or more sealed chambers. After inserting the conductors into the body and tightening the connector, the sliding cartridge is pressed into the body. This sliding action compresses the cartridge against a piercing tip, forcing the resin into the connector body and hardening it around the conductors.
