Abstract
Description
SHOWER SET WITH HIDDEN PLEXUS b«Qcnn / C7n7 / e / YiAi FIELD OF INVENTION This descriptive report, as its title indicates, refers to a shower set where the flexible hose and hand shower remain hidden when not in use, concealed within a specially designed housing in the vertical tube. This tube also contains a water channel that connects the faucet to the overhead shower. Rotating this vertical tube, in addition to revealing or concealing the flexible hose and hand shower, also acts as a selector for the water outlets, directing it to either the overhead shower or the hand shower. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Currently, in the world of showers, and more specifically in the world of shower sets, there is a wide variety of design solutions that seek differentiation and high aesthetic value. The most popular format in this type of shower set is based on a faucet with an upper outlet that supplies an overhead shower and a lower outlet for a flexible hose that supplies a hand shower, along with a distribution mechanism inside the faucet that supplies one or the other. 52 / 1830 / 23 b«Qcnn / C7n7 / e / YiAi This flexible hose hangs below the faucet, detracts from the shower space, is unhygienic, and needs frequent replacement. While solutions exist that aim to conceal the flexible hose connecting the hand shower to the faucet (known as the hose itself), most rely on sliding it through a pre-drilled hole. This leads to problems such as noise, blockages, and breakage from friction. Furthermore, these spaces are prone to dampness and difficult to clean, further compromising the hygiene of these products. In the prior art, we found some documents that refer to objects or devices for concealing the flexible hose and hand shower, but as can be seen, they are technically far removed from the invention described herein. Some of these documents are mentioned below. Document DE10137966A1 refers to a wall-mounted shower set. This set features a large housing that rotates on a vertical axis, acting as a door that, when closed, conceals the flexible hose and hand shower, along with other faucet components and hydromassage jets. Document JP2008200222A describes a device that conceals the shower hose hanging on a support where b«Qcnn / C7n7 / e / YiAi a piece that rotates on a vertical axis as a door that covers only the hose. The document EP3501356A1 entitled Sanitary Installation describes a type of cabinet that conceals an automatic hose retraction mechanism and has inside a support to leave the shower handle in a vertical position. Another document, US5870781A, shows a housing that conceals the flexible hose and hand shower; it is fixed and folds down onto the receptacle arranged in said housing. Finally, document EP3401451A1 shows a quick connection solution to a faucet for the flexible hose and hand shower. The invention described below includes highly innovative aspects in wall-mounted tap assembly, control of water outlet selection, and locking and safety systems. DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The shower set with concealed hose described below consists of a vertical tube, cylindrical for a short section at its base, which houses an innovative selection mechanism for the overhead shower or hand shower with a simple twist. This tube is curved along most of its length to accommodate and conceal the hose and hand shower. The upper end of the vertical tube connects to a horizontal tube that is fixed to the wall. Between these two tubes is a joint that conceals a mechanism for securing the hand shower. This mechanism can be magnetic or mechanical, and optionally includes a rotation locking mechanism that prevents unexpected water from escaping through the hand shower when the overhead shower is activated. The horizontal tube, at one end, has an adjustable wall fixing to keep the bar vertical, and at the opposite end furthest from the wall, it ends in a chamfered cut; on this face, a top spray head is screwed in which a water outlet projection with an adjustable angle is projected. The cylindrical base of the shower set conceals a novel mechanism inside: a cartridge with an axial water outlet, inserted and fixed upside down, with the stem facing downwards and the collectors at the top. Reversing its position transforms it into a selector or water outlet diverter, rather than a mixer. Mounted in this inverted position, it functions as follows: the stem or nozzle, which has a faceted or knurled surface, is inserted into a water outlet on top of a faucet or into a pre-drilled wall outlet and secured to either, creating a watertight seal. The water, pre-mixed in the faucet, enters through the 52 / 1830 / 23 b«Qcnn / C7n7 / e / YiAi stem or nozzle, which was formerly the outlet and is now the collector. The ceramic pieces, which formerly acted as a mixer, now act as a selector and the hot and cold water collectors now act as a water outlet to the showerhead or water outlet to the hand shower. The selector function of the upside-down axial water outlet cartridge is activated by rotating the vertical tube of the shower set. When the hose and hand shower are concealed, the selector directs the water to the overhead shower; conversely, when the hose and hand shower are visible by rotating the tube 180 degrees, the selector diverts the water to the hand shower. The vertical tube is cylindrical at its base to house the cartridge described above. From this short section of the vertical tube, the cylinder deforms along most of its length, so that one half remains regular and concave when viewed from the front, while the other half becomes convex. The new cross-sectional shape of this long section of the vertical tube, similar to a rounded crescent moon, conceals and integrates the flexible hose and hand shower assembly into its convex face. Inside the deformed vertical tube, a water channel is inserted and hidden, carrying water to the overhead shower. The transition from the concave to the convex face creates a chamfer, which is drilled to allow an outlet to the outside of the flexible hose from the corresponding water outlet of the cartridge with an axial water outlet. The vertical tube, at its upper free end, is joined to another horizontal tube. This joint conceals a locking mechanism that secures the flexible hose and hand shower to the tube. This attachment can be magnetic, consisting of a magnetized piece housed inside the central bar that secures the assembly when the hand shower's upper locking mechanism (which is phenomagnetic) is brought close. Alternatively, it can be mechanical, using a locking mechanism between the hand shower's upper locking mechanism and a locking piece located at the joint. This joint between the vertical and horizontal tubes can also house a rotation locking system to prevent the overhead shower and hand shower from activating simultaneously if the bar is rotated, thus avoiding unexpected splashes. As described in previous paragraphs, when the center bar is in the concealed hose and hand shower position, the water passage to the overhead shower is open. The water pressure through this passage raises a piston that blocks rotation. When the water flow stops, a spring returns the piston to its original position, allowing the vertical tube to rotate again. The closed piston rests on a grooved contour around its base, allowing automatic drainage of water from the overhead shower and horizontal tube into the water passage inside the vertical tube when the water supply is interrupted. The internal water line and the flexible hose and hand shower assembly, which run parallel to each other along the vertical pipe, are connected to the top of the faucet. This type of connection allows gravity to do its work, thus facilitating complete drainage of the water inside, provided the faucet to which they are connected has an automatic drain system. The horizontal tube is fixed to the wall. At its end closest to the wall, it has an adjustment and position correction mechanism to ensure the vertical tube can be adapted to any faucet and remains perfectly vertical. This horizontal tube can be divided into two sections of different diameters to allow for telescopic adjustment, thus varying its length. The free end of this horizontal tube can be cut at an angle, and an overhead showerhead is attached to this angled face, positioned at an angle relative to the horizontal line. Alternatively, there is a single, straight horizontal tube without telescopic adjustment, its free end being closed with a piece that allows for horizontal mounting of the overhead showerhead. b«Qcnn / C7n7 / e / YiAi A person skilled in the technique will easily understand that they can combine features of different embodiments with features of other possible embodiments, provided that such a combination is technically possible. DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURES To better understand the object of the present invention, a preferred practical embodiment thereof has been represented in the attached drawing. Figure 1 shows a cross-section in a profile view of the entire shower set assembly with the vertical tube (1) connected to the faucet (12). Figure 2 shows a detailed cross-section of the lower part of Figure 1 of the shower set, the cylindrical base (2) of the vertical tube (1) and the cartridge with axial water outlet (10) inside above a tap (12) Figure 3 shows the detailed section of the lower part of Figure 1 of the shower set, the cylindrical base (2) of the vertical tube (1) and the cartridge with axial water outlet (10) inside above a wall water outlet (13). Figure 4 shows the detailed section of the top part focusing on the joint (17) of the vertical tube (1) with the horizontal tube (6) and the locking system (18). bRQcnn / cznz / e / YiAi Figure 5 shows a section of the vertical tube (1) highlighting the section of the long deformed section (16). Figure 6 shows a perspective view of the shower set with the hose (5) and hand shower (4) hidden. Figure 7 shows a perspective view of the shower set with the flexible hose (5) and hand shower (4) visible. PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION The shower set of the present invention, as shown in Figure 1, consists of a vertical tube (1) whose cylindrical base (2) conceals an upside-down cartridge with an axial water outlet (10), reversing the water inlet and outlet and transforming the cartridge into a selector instead of a mixer. From this cartridge and the water supply connector to the showerhead (14) and the water supply connector to the hand shower (15), the vertical tube is deformed in its cross-section (16) into a rounded crescent shape to conceal the hand shower (4) and the flexible hose (5) within its convex surface. The vertical tube (1) is closed at its upper end by a joint (17) with the horizontal tube (6), which guides the rotation of the vertical tube (1).The horizontal tube, which is divided into two sections to allow for telescopic adjustment (23), is fixed to the wall at one end and is also equipped with an adjustment and correction mechanism (21). The opposite free end is cut at an angle, and the upper sprinkler (3) is screwed onto the face (24) formed by the cut. Figure 2 shows a detailed section of the cylindrical base (2) of the vertical tube (1) of the shower set. The inverted axial water outlet cartridge (10) is clearly visible, and the stem (11), fitted and fixed to the faucet (12), acts as a collector for the mixed water coming from the faucet (12). The ceramic cartridges of the axial water outlet cartridge (10) act as selectors instead of mixers, and by rotating the vertical tube (1), they direct the water towards the showerhead outlet (14) or the hand shower outlet (15). Figure 3 shows the details of how the shower set can be mounted freestanding. In this case, the stem (11) of the axial cartridge is inserted into a wall-mounted water outlet (13) constructed with a mechanism similar to that of the faucet (12). The cartridge with axial water outlet (10) operates in the same way with the rotation of the vertical tube (1). Figure 4 shows a detail of the junction between the vertical tube (1) and the horizontal tube (6). The joint (17) between these two tubes provides the necessary conditions to conceal important innovations within the shower set's product range. The first of these is a locking system (18) b«Qcnn / C7n7 / e / YiAi which, while water is flowing from the overhead shower (3), prevents accidental rotation of the vertical tube (1) and activation of the hand shower (4), thus avoiding annoying splashes. This locking system (18) works as follows: the pressure exerted by the water flowing through the water channel (25) to the shower (3) raises a piston (19) that fits into a pre-drilled hole, thereby blocking the rotation of the vertical tube (1).When the tap is turned off and water stops flowing through the water passage (25) of the shower head (3), a spring (20) returns the plunger to its original position, deactivating the locking mechanism (18) and allowing the vertical tube (1) to rotate. The plunger has a groove around its base to allow reverse water flow, from the overhead shower head to the tap, which is useful and hygienic provided the tap has a drain system. This figure also shows the attachment piece (7) used to correctly position and secure the flexible hose (5) and the hand shower (4). This is achieved by securing the attachment piece (7) to the hand shower's locking mechanism (22). This attachment can also be magnetic or mechanical. Figure 5 shows the deformation (16) of the vertical tube, creating a convex face on the vertical tube where the flexible hose (5) and the hand shower (4) are located. b«Qcnn / C7n7 / e / YiAi Figure 6 shows a complete shower set with the vertical pipe (1) connected to the faucet (12), rotated to conceal the flexible hose (5) and the hand shower (4). At the opposite end is the joint (17) between the vertical pipe (1) and the horizontal pipe (6). On the horizontal pipe (6), at the end that is fixed to the wall, a position adjustment system (21) is visible. Also shown are the two sections of the horizontal pipe (6) that allow its length to be adjusted with a telescopic system (23), and at the free end furthest from the wall, an angled cut (24) creates a surface where the overhead shower (3) is attached. Figure 7 shows a complete shower set with the vertical tube (1) connected to the faucet (12) rotated to show the flexible hose (5) and the hand shower (4), and at the opposite end, as in the previous figure, the joint (17) between the vertical tube (1) and the horizontal tube (6). Rotating the vertical tube activates the selector mechanism of the cartridge with axial water outlet (10), which opens the water supply to the shower head (3) when the flexible hose (5) and hand shower (4) are concealed; conversely, it opens the water supply to the flexible hose (5) and hand shower (4) assembly when these are visible. All information relating to examples or modes of embodiment forms part of the description of the invention.
