VEHICLE LEVELER WITH SAFETY FUNCTIONS

Abstract

A vehicle leveler includes a first portion having a leading edge and a trailing edge; the trailing edge is positioned farther from the approach path than the leading edge. The vehicle leveler also includes a second portion having a leading edge and a trailing edge; the leading edge of the second portion is attached to the trailing edge of the first portion, and the leading edge of the second portion is positioned farther from the approach path than the trailing edge of the second portion. The second portion also includes an extension portion. The vehicle leveler has at least one tension bar connecting the first portion at a proximal end and a lifting cylinder at a distal end, as well as at least one tension strap. When the vehicle leveler is in a raised position, the tension bar and tension strap prevent the lifting cylinder from being accidentally displaced.
