Abstract
The present invention provides a solution that prevents overpressure in a container that dispenses a fluid using a screw-type splined shaft motor, allowing for better control over the piston's position regardless of the liquid level in the syringe (full or empty). In a traditional time-pressure system, at the end of the extrusion cycle, the internal pressure is released with a slight vacuum, and the piston retracts slightly since there is no longer a force acting upon it. However, in an electromechanical system with a motor that defines the piston's advance, the piston remains under pressure at the end of the cycle, even if the motor is de-energized, because the screw restricts its movement. The fluid commonly continues to escape from the dispenser tip, causing spills and drips, as well as material waste. This invention incorporates the novel use of a force sensor, known as a load cell, to warn if the fluid is under pressure in the resting state immediately after dispensing, and if so, automatically actuate the movement of the plunger by means of a recoil to eliminate this unfavorable condition.
