UPPER EXTREMITY PROSTHESIS FOR HOLDING HIGH-IMPACT TOOLS

Abstract

The present invention relates to an upper limb prosthesis comprising: a chest structure comprising securing means for attaching the prosthesis to the user's body, a segmented shoulder joint movably connected to the chest structure, an arm structure comprising a proximal end and a distal end and at least one movable connecting element disposed at each of its ends, the proximal end of which is connected to the segmented shoulder joint by means of the corresponding at least one movable connecting element, a forearm structure comprising a housing for the user's residual limb, a telescopic adjustment element and at least one movable connecting element disposed in the housing, by means of which it is connected to at least one movable connecting element of the distal end of the arm structure, a wrist joint structure connected to the telescopic adjustment element,an interchangeable tool clamping means attached to the wrist joint structure and an energy dissipation spring disposed between the wrist joint structure and the tool clamping means.
