Abstract
The invention relates to a method (300) of fused deposition modeling (FDM) using recycled high-density polythene (rHDPE) composite. The method (300) includes subjecting (302) materials comprising: rice husk powder (202), recycled high density polyethylene (rHDPE) pellets (204), maleic anhydride grafted polyethylene (MAPE) and a processing additive to compounding via a compounding machine to generate pellets (212). The method (300) further includes subjecting (304) the pellets to extrusion via a twin-screw extruder and the pellets (212) is passed through a cooling bath and a spooling device (216), for generating a 3D filament. The method (300) further includes performing a 3D printing using the 3D filament via a 3D printer to generate a specimen.
