Inductor array and support

Abstract

For circuit boards that may be used in computing devices (1100), a horizontal inductor (301, 401, 501, 600a, 701, 801, 1001), or an array of such inductors, may be coupled to a circuit board (302, 602, 702, 1002) having a plurality of signal routing lines (312, 412, 612) in a second layer from a surface of the circuit board and the horizontal inductor is positioned over these signal routing lines and may generate magnetic field lines that directionally follow the signal routing lines. The horizontal inductor may have a coiled wire (303, 503, 603, 703a, 703b, 703c, 703d, 703e, 703f, 806) with a central axis that is oriented horizontally with the surface of the circuit board. The horizontal inductor, or an array of such inductors, may be coupled to a support board (306, 406, 506, 606, 706) attached to the circuit board. FIG. 5
