Abstract
The present invention relates to a smart irrigation system (1) comprising a central control unit (2) being communicatively connected to an irrigation unit (3), a plurality of power supplying units (4), and a plurality of sensors (5) for related to soil conditions of an irrigation area; wherein the plurality of power supplying units (4) comprises a photovoltaic assembly (12) and a microbial electrochemical assembly (13), each built in with individual batteries (7) for storing power output generated therefrom; and a wireless communication module (8) for establishing a wireless link between a user interface (9) and the central control unit (2), wherein the user interface (9) displays information related to the irrigation unit (3) and the plurality of power supplying units (4) and allows a user to remotely monitor and control operations of the irrigation unit (3) and the plurality of power supplying units (4) in accordance to the displayed information.
