Protective enclosure for electronic medical devices

Abstract

The present invention discloses a protective enclosure for electronic medical devices. The protective enclosure comprises an enclosure body (100) having an enclosure cavity for sealingly housing an electronic medical device; an operator access means (200) for allowing an operator to engage the electronic medical device through a glove port; viewing window(400), a door panel (300) coupled to an opening of the enclosure body (100) for receiving the electronic medical device; a door lock mechanism for operating a lock that permits entry of the electronic medical device through the door panel (300) in an open position and that provides locking of the door panel (300) in a close position; an alarm means for indicating the open position and the close position; a viewing window (400) for allowing visual inspection and covered contact of the electronic medical device; and an air ventilation unit comprising an air inlet (500) and an air outlet (501) having mounted with a fan for drawing in a stream of air from ambient entirely across the enclosure cavity. The air inlet (500) comprises a particulate air filter attachably coupled thereto.
