Abstract

A control device controls an internal combustion engine (1) and a rotary electric machine (2) mechanically connected to the internal combustion engine (1), in which the control device, when motoring that rotationally drives, by the rotary electric machine (2), the internal combustion engine (1) that does not perform firing that burns fuel is executed, performs an operation that expands an opening degree of a throttle valve installed on an intake passage of the internal combustion engine (1), at the same time, measures an intake pressure at a portion connected to a cylinder downstream of the throttle valve on the intake passage of the internal combustion engine (1), and adjusts an increase and decrease of a torque output by the rotary electric machine (2) according to the intake pressure and a rotation speed of the internal combustion engine (1) at a current time.
