Abstract

A shift lever device (10) includes: a knob (20) including an insertion target portion (24) that allows insertion of a shaft body; a shaft (30) including an insertion portion (32) inserted in the insertion target portion (24); a restriction portion (60) that in a state in which the insertion portion (32) is inserted in the insertion target portion (24), restricts movement, in an axial direction of the shaft (30), of the knob (20); and an elastic portion (70) that makes an elastic force act on the knob (20) in the axial direction of the shaft (30). In the shift lever device (10), the elastic portion (70) exerts the elastic force in a direction in which the elastic force reduces a clearance in the axial direction, the clearance being formed between the knob (20) and the shaft (30) in the state in which the insertion portion (32) is inserted in the insertion target portion (24).
